Duties/Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based online course content aligned with program learning objectives.
- Lead discussions, case studies, and other interactive learning activities to promote critical thinking and application of advanced nursing concepts.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and projects, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Offer academic guidance and support to graduate nursing students, addressing questions and concerns promptly.
- Leverage learning management systems (LMS) and other digital tools effectively to enhance student engagement and accessibility.
- Work with faculty and administrative staff to ensure alignment of courses with program goals and accreditation standards.
- Uphold ethical standards, academic integrity, and institutional policies in all aspects of teaching and communication.
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Nursing
- At least two years of recent, relevant nursing experience in the specialty which you are applying for
- Licensure: Current unencumbered registered nurse license or professional licensure as appropriate for specialty
- Proficient knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and standards to provide effective instruction and mentorship.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, engage diverse learners, and adapt teaching methods to meet individual and group needs.
- Strong analytical skills to assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and address challenges in clinical settings.
- Doctoral degree
- Experience in online teaching.
- Experience in working with college age and non-traditional students.
- Skill in working with culturally diverse constituencies in the academic environment.
