Research Assistant to assist with developing a research lab with a new faculty member.

Duties/Responsibilities

• The duties will be to participate in research involving the synthesis and characterization of novel crystalline framework materials for water purification systems.
• Work to create a calibration curve of perfluoroalkyl substances using the LC-MS in the University Instrumentation center.
• Beyond the research roles, the hire will be involved in mentoring both graduate and undergraduate students, participating in writing papers and assisting with lab clean up.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:

• PHD in chemistry
  
  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Research knowledge involving the synthesis and characterization of novel crystalline framework materials for water purification systems.
• Experience in creating a calibration curve of perfluoroalkyl substances using an LC-MS .
