Research Assistant to assist with developing a research lab with a new faculty member.
Duties/Responsibilities
- The duties will be to participate in research involving the synthesis and characterization of novel crystalline framework materials for water purification systems.
- Work to create a calibration curve of perfluoroalkyl substances using the LC-MS in the University Instrumentation center.
- Beyond the research roles, the hire will be involved in mentoring both graduate and undergraduate students, participating in writing papers and assisting with lab clean up.
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
- PHD in chemistry
- Research knowledge involving the synthesis and characterization of novel crystalline framework materials for water purification systems.
- Experience in creating a calibration curve of perfluoroalkyl substances using an LC-MS .
