Position Summary | UNM Health and Health SciencesMarketing &Communications (UNMHHS MarCom) has an exciting opportunity foran Administrative Coordinator to join our growing team. As a member of the UNM Healthand Health Sciences Marketing & Communications Team, this position willplay an integral role in assisting with the department administration andoperations. We are looking for someone whohas experience with performing and coordinating a variety of administrative,fiscal, and support activities for a large department; and serving as a liaisonfor internal and external constituents to communicate and oversee thecompletion of department projects, daily tasks, and/or events. This position will play anactive role in working with the Senior Business Manager to: - Provide confidentialadministrative support for the Senior Business Manager, Marketing Director, and Communications Director. - Assist with department anduniversity inquires and problem solving. - Assist with the maintenanceof department inventory and office space. - Schedule and organizedepartment meetings and events, and assist with facilitation. - Create departmentprocurement, reconciliation, and travel documents; which includes orderingsupplies, making travel arrangements, reconciling fiscal documents, andprocessing reimbursements. This role requires stronginterpersonal skills and extraordinary competency in verbal and writtencommunication. This position requires flexibility and excellent prioritizationskills; one who performs well with minimal supervision with the ability tothrive and problem solve with competing deadlines, in a fast-paced,multi-tasked environment. Minimum Qualifications | High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
Preferred Qualifications | - Outstanding writing and interpersonalcommunications skills. - The ability to work in a face-paced,multi-tasked environment. - The ability to adapt and adjustdaily tasks, as needed, which require excellent time management skills. - A minimum of 5 years of experiencedirectly related to the duties specified above. - Extensive knowledge in AdobeAcrobat, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and MicrosoftPowerPoint. - Prior UNM experience. - A cover letter thatspecifically tells us how your background and experience align with the requirements,qualifications, and responsibilities of the position. |
