Position Summary | The University of New Mexico Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Contract and Grant Administrator to join our team at the Center of Psychiatric Research. This unique opportunity involves providing administrative and technical guidance and support to faculty and staff seeking external funding for groundbreaking research and public service projects. As a member of the psychiatric research team, you will support the review and processing of incoming awards and award modifications, monitor award balances, review budgets and expenditures, and prepare close out of assigned grants and contracts. This role directly assists principal investigators (PI's), serving as a liaison with the Health Sciences Center (HSC) Sponsored Projects and funding agencies, including researching answers specific to research compliance, policies, and administration. Works closely with research operations manager, accountants and department administrator to ensure compliance.

Minimum Qualifications | High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
