About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Mental Health Support Coordinator to join our team at the University of New Mexico. This role requires an individual who is passionate about supporting individuals and families in need, and has a strong understanding of mental health principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate service plans based on client identified strengths and goals.
- Assist clients in obtaining access to rehabilitative, medical, and other necessary services.
- Provide education and resources to patients on mental health conditions, medication management, and relapse prevention.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Conduct ongoing assessments to determine if services accessed are meeting or have adequately met client needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- 1 year of directly related experience.
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
- Valid New Mexico Driver's License and UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit within 60 days of hire.
