Position Summary | The UNM-Valencia Campus Upward Bound Program is takingapplications for Teacher, Pre-College Programs. This is a grant-funded on-callposition with current funding available through 08/31/2025. This positionoversees certain day-to-day aspects of the Upward Bound Program including butnot limited to tutoring, leading workshops, teaching, and executing collegepreparation/academic lessons for high school students. This person will assist with tutoring and instructing duringthe Academic Year. This position provides support in language arts or other pre-college disciplines at area high schools and at UNM-ValenciaCampus; Practices various pedagogical practices to enhance student academicprogress as well as gain the skills necessary to transition from high school tohigher education; Supports and engages students in college preparatory topics; Documents student progress, attendance, and other student trackingtasks. Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
