This position will spend approximately half the time recruiting and developing relationships with potential students for the EDBA program delivered by the UNA Sanders College of Business and Technology. The remainder of the position involves coordinating and assisting with activities once students are in the program. This person in this position is the students’ main contact as they matriculate through the EDBA program and assists doctoral faculty and administration with many tasks to keep the program running smoothly.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
RECRUITING JOB DUTIES (50%): Spend significant time as first point-of-contact engaging prospective students in discussion via phone, text, and email about their future with the goal of determining fit with the EDBA program;Encourage qualified students to apply to the EDBA program and provide guidance throughout the application process;Meet metrics by demonstrating high level of product/program knowledge and meeting specific student recruitment goals;Assume responsibility for managing and updating computerized prospective student database, application paperwork, and follow-up documentation; Prepare all requested tracking forms accurately and on time; Maintain accurate knowledge of college programs, university student services, and peer institutions’ offerings;Work closely with the Associate Director of Online Recruitment in providing weekly data reports and learning new processes and software features;Attend weekly and bi-weekly recruiting meetings and participate in communication training as scheduled;Work effectively with coworkers as part of the recruiting and student services team to ensure each student’s experience with the college is professional, service-focused, and productive;Cross-train in recruiting for other SCOBT programs as needed.OTHER EDBA PROGRAM JOB DUTIES (50%): Work closely with the Director of Graduate Business Programs, Associate Dean, and EDBA Leadership Team (EDBALT);Assist Director of Graduate Business Programs and EDBA faculty in planning and coordinating weekend residency classes;Be on-site for part of residency weekends to ensure smooth program delivery and address problems as they arise; handle scheduling helpers for weekends;Provide timely guidance and feedback to EDBA students about program related issues and requirements;Register EDBA students for courses each semester and register them for graduation in final semester;Order textbooks for the students prior to each semester;Schedule locations for dissertation defenses and announce to campus community; Initiate online forms following dissertation proposals and defenses;Manage students’ travel and expenses budgets and assist students in preparing reimbursement paperwork;Plan Launch Weekend schedule;Plan occasional cohort dinners and graduation celebrations;Schedule EDBALT meetings, assist with agendas, and take minutes at Meetings and also EDBA Meetings with Deans and Dir. of Grad. Bus. Programs;Maintain contact with business community and student service organizations, as necessary;Perform all other duties as assigned.ADDITIONAL DUTIES: To be determined.
