Position Summary | The primary purpose of this position is to provide business operations and administrative support to the Chief Information Officer and the university's Information Technology Services Department staff necessary to accomplish the department's objectives. To this end, this position exercises judgment and discretion in interpreting departmental and institutional policies and procedures for ITS personnel, university colleagues and the public. This position is responsible for assisting the CIO with monitoring ITS financial affairs. This includes tracking ITS expenditures and encumbrances from ITS funds; and assist the CIO with reconciling fund balances as needed. The employee in this position is recognized as the general contact person within the ITS department for various campus offices for questions regarding business or physical operations, e.g. Purchasing, Budget Officer, Accounts Payable, Campus Operations, Printing Services, and Human Resources, etc. |

Minimum Education/Experience/Skills | Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills | Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of prior work experience in a role that includes administrative, clerical, and financial/budgetary transactions. Prior experience with large-scale purchasing, contracts, and financial reporting is desired. Experience with electronic procurement systems is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interact professionally with a wide variety of people. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and technology-related terminology. |
Work Schedule and Hours | Typical hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime as needed to meet the needs of the department. |
