The Undergraduate Business Program (UBP) is one of the largest academic programs within UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School with an enrollment of over 1,000 business majors and minors. The Undergraduate Business Program Office provides academic and student development services for current and prospective students, as well as faculty and staff. Specific services include: prospective student recruitment and admissions; academic services, including academic advising, course scheduling, and graduation; new student orientation; student life and engagement programs, such as student clubs and organizations, case competitions and other community-building opportunities; study abroad and other global program experiences; and career development programs.
The Recruitment Services Coordinator (RSC) is primarily responsible for handling the day-to-day operations and communications as part of the career team. This role serves as a bridge between recruiting employers and students. This position will be the front-line representative to support various constituents (employers and alumni) visiting our office/campus both virtually and in-person.
The RSC position is solely responsible for four critical areas:
1) Employer Support: handling employer recruiting events from start to finish including logistical and administrative support related to employer tabling, coffee chats, information sessions, etc.
2) Communication Support: monitor and reply to incoming recruiting requests, produce the weekly career & recruiting newsletter that targets all business students, coordinate social media efforts, etc.
3) Programming Support: coordinate meetings, workshops and events. Provide administrative support for Director and other career services personnel. This includes but is not limited to all space reservations, catering, calendar requests, parking, onsite support and pre-career trek logistics.
4) Systems & Partner Support: collaborate with numerous internal and external stakeholders to provide top quality service and help to resolve challenges as they arise including serving as system liaison to University Career Services for Handshake and other technology products.
The UBP operates with an ‘all hands on deck’ mentality in support of students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders. Each position within the program is occasionally called on to assist with events, stand in for teammates during absences, and participate in cross-functional teams to develop or maintain UBP-wide projects and initiatives. This position reports to the Associate Director of Employer Relations.
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Ability to maintain composure in fast-paced environment and provide flawless service to a variety of stakeholders. Must possess a professional demeanor with strong organizational, written and oral communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. Highly motivated, demonstrates initiative, positive attitude, results-driven, and possesses the ability to work with a broad range of internal and external constituents. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required. Ability to flex work hours to include early morning and evening hours during peak recruiting times.
Experience utilizing database management tools (e.g., Slate, Salesforce or Handshake) preferred. Experience in recruiting, employer relations, event planning in a corporate or university environment preferred.
This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
Salary : $45,747 - $54,000
