Position Summary
The Gupton laboratory studies the cell biology of shape change. We do this by studying the motility and metastasis of human melanoma cells, as well as the shape changes in developing and aging neuron that are important to establish and maintain appropriate neuronal connectivity and animal behavior, while doing so in a supportive, fun, and engaging environment of scientific discovery and training.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

Rodent handling ability
Basic understanding of cell biology
Molecular Biology techniques
Aseptic cell culture techniques
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Prior experience in a biology or chemistry lab or in a related field
Rodent handling experience
Strong communication and organization skills
