Primary Purpose of Organization Unit
The Advancement Division engages alumni, friends, parents, students, community leaders, businesses, corporations and foundations to seek their philanthropic support of the university and its priorities. The Advancement Division builds relationships with each of these constituencies, provides ongoing stewardship of these relationships as well as prudent fiscal management of the contributions placed in its care.
Primary Purpose of Position
The Associate Director of Development will serve as a key member of the fundraising team, skillfully managing a portfolio of prospects to secure major and planned gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
Job Description
This position requires a strong skill set dedicated to identifying, qualifying, cultivating, and stewarding prospects and donors at the major gift level ($25,000 ) and higher. The Associate Director of Development works in partnership with the Deans and senior leadership of the University to secure major gifts in support of the University's strategic fundraising goals.
This position is expected to develop and manage a robust donor prospect portfolio to meet established goals. It would be beneficial for this person to have a solid working knowledge and previous experience in higher education and advancement. This position reports to the Vice Chancellor for Advancement.
