Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The Business Analyst will apply communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT and business solutions. The Business Analyst is responsible for applying advanced business analysis concepts to identify and implement areas of improvement in our current and future business processes. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand current processes, requirements and issues. The Business Analyst will translate business needs into technical requirements and align technology to increase efficiency. They are responsible for developing and implementing new strategies and technologies in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure successful adoption of the new procedures. They will create technical specifications, documentation, and test plans. They will be responsible for ensuring technical solutions are in compliance with established policies.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in project management, information technology, business administration, computer science, with at least 3 years of experience in business / systems analysis. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered on a case by case basis.
- An understanding of analytical techniques and strong critical thinking skills.
- Experience testing and mapping various business processes and protocols.
- Strong time management skills and acumen for planning.

Required Certifications or Licensures Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit ITS provides centralized Information Technology services to the campus. Enterprise Project Management and Client Experience provides support by managing and leading all of campus IT projects.
