The USoar Coordinator, under the direction of an Assistant Director or above, assists in the design, development and implementation of program processes and/or initiatives under the FCSUA grant award.
Job Functions
- Coordinates aspects of the USoar program, including engagement, person centered planning, etc. in compliance with FPCTP and CTP requirements.
- Assist in tracking and collecting students’ data, as well as co-manage social media platforms (e.g., posting and monitoring the calendar of events).
- Assist with job placements, job shadowing, and job development for USoar students.
- Responsible for collecting, track, and reporting to responsible parties, all employment data for grant tracking.
- Assist with independent living skills training sem in ars.
- Provide social skills training support during program events.
- Facilitate and lead social events to increase student participation and e ng ageme nt.
Departmental Requirements
- Must have job coaching and career development experience directly supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Must have experience with tracking student participation and engagement in post-secondary programs/activities. Must have experience teaching/ leading post-secondary students and content.
Required Qualifications: This position requires either (a) Master’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization; (b) Bachelor’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and two years of experience directly related to the job functions; or (c ) 6 years of direct experience.
Preference may be given to applicants who possess the following experience:
- Has prior experience leading instruction for transition-age/postsecondary students
- Has prior experience developing curriculum related to independent living, transition and/or career development for transition-age postsecondary students.
- Has prior experience leading/teaching curriculum related to independent living, transition and/or career development for transition-age/postsecondary students. Has prior experience supporting/coaching transition-age/ postsecondary students in workplace/employment development.
