The mission of HSC Next is to guide the growth of innovators and their ideas into solutions for a healthier community. HSC Next does this by supporting HSC faculty, students, and staff, as well as regional entrepreneurs and startups through a variety of programs. These include managing the HSC IP portfolio, running ideation activities, incubating startup companies on the HSC campus and educating students to develop an innovative mindset.
Position Overview
This role will be responsible for coordinating, planning and executing event/program/project logistics. Will aid in the creation of relevant content in order to expand outreach efforts and provide all necessary metrics where applicable. This role will also work with all relevant teams throughout the campus and broader community to draft and communicate announcements, stories, newsletters, and other information about events, developments, accomplishments and milestones.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related professional field and three (3) years of related experience. A combination of education and relevant experience may be substitute for the educational requirement.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to demonstrate strong written, oral and social media communication skills.
- Demonstrate highly organized, with good planning and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to connect and build strong working relationships with a diverse audience including, but not limited to, faculty and students.
- Ability to work according to schedules and itineraries while also being able to exercise good judgement and remain flexible.
- Demonstrate discipline and diligence with social media.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to plan, organize, and effectively manage multiple assignments and projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in Canva.
- Experience creating and executing marketing campaigns.
- Experience and in depth understanding of analyzing marketing efficacy and website data.
- Proficient in event planning and management.

Job Duties:
- Work with team members on planning campus and/or community outreach events.
- Execute on event plans within budget and on time to optimally manage event logistics, venues, vendors, etc.
- Work with team members to develop and execute on social media strategies that help meet organizational objectives.
- Work with team members to create relevant and engaging content for social media platforms or newsletters daily/periodically and monitor platform analytics to optimize content.
- Work with team members and other units at UNTHSC to draft campus and community communications about team events, news, developments and accomplishments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
Regular business hours Monday - Friday, with occasional events after normal business hours.
