Job Summary
This position offers a comprehensive training program for Environmental Systems Mechanic Trainees to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to perform at the journey level. The successful candidate will assist in the installation, repair, alteration, replacement, and maintenance of components of refrigeration, air conditioning, and heating equipment under direct supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, repair, alteration, replacement, and maintenance of components of refrigeration, air conditioning, and heating equipment.
- Participate in training programs to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to perform at the journey level.
- Perform skilled work in the area of installation, repair, alteration, replacement, and maintenance of components of environmental systems.
- Utilize computerized building environmental automation systems to collect mechanical system performance data.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Possess a valid driver's license and meet University's Fleet Safety Program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of college/trade school preferred.
