Overview:
The University of Northern Iowa is seeking a qualified Environmental Systems Mechanic I/II/III-Operations to join our facilities operations team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our campus buildings by performing routine maintenance and repairs on environmental systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair various components of environmental systems, including refrigeration, air conditioning, and heating equipment.
- Collect and analyze data from computerized building environmental automation systems to identify areas for improvement.
- Recommend and implement system optimization changes to improve efficiency and reliability.
Essential Qualifications:
- Applicants should possess a strong background in refrigeration, heating, or air conditioning work, with four years of experience required for ESM I, six years for ESM II, and eight years for ESM III.
- Demonstrated expertise in computerized building environmental automation systems is also essential.
- A valid driver's license and ability to meet the University's Fleet Safety Program requirements are mandatory.
