The University of Notre Dame is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Interiors Assistant to support the Interior Architecture team. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of design projects and initiatives, contributing to the excellence of the University's interior spaces.
Key Responsibilities
The Interiors Assistant will provide comprehensive support to the Interior Architecture team, including but not limited to:
- Design Documentation: Assist in the creation and refinement of architectural drawings and project documents.
- Material and Furniture Coordination: Order and manage interior samples, furniture procurement, and installation logistics to align with project timelines.
- Field and Site Verification: Conduct on-site visits to verify project details and ensure accuracy in implementation.
- Move Coordination: Facilitate the planning and execution of departmental or project-related moves, ensuring seamless transitions.
- Resource Management: Regularly update and maintain the material library, including organizing and purging outdated samples.
- Meeting Participation: Attend and contribute to team and stakeholder meetings, providing updates and capturing critical information.
- Project Support: Assist with additional administrative tasks and coordination efforts as required by the team.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
Interior Design experience or education
- Proficiency in design tools and software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, fostering positive relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with furniture systems, interior design samples, and installation processes is a plus.
- Proactive problem-solver who can adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
