The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Reunion Welcome Team (Summer Employment).
Applications will be accepted until 05/16/2025.
Reunion Welcome Team Members will welcome and register Reunion guests, will greet Reunion guests at meals and events, and will sell tickets at select venues.
Registration: Serve as support at Reunion Headquarters located in the Eck Visitors Center. Welcome and check-in alumni guests, distribute registration packets, provide general information to Reunion guests, and perform other duties as assigned. May also be assigned to the walk-up registration table.
Location: Reunion Headquarters is in the Eck Visitors Center.
Greeters: Greet alumni and scan their name badges as they arrive at 1) Reunion headquarters, 2) lunches, dinners, and at the All-Class Refreshment Hub, and 3) at seminars and other Reunion events. Provide general information and campus directions to Reunion guests. Provide assistance to Ticket Sellers and the Transportation team when needed and/or during peak times.
Location: Various locations across campus.
Ticket Sellers: Greet alumni as they arrive at ticketed events such as lunches, dinners and the All-Class Refreshment Hub. Sell tickets, as needed, to guests attending ticketed events. Handle cash and reconcile sales with Reunion cashiers at the conclusion of shift. Will work with Greeters at events.- Working in parking lots assisting people in/out of vehicles and with loading/unloading luggage.
Location: Various locations across campus.
This is a temporary position in support of the Notre Dame Alumni Association's largest yearly event, Reunion, to be held Thursday, May 30- Sunday, June 2, 2025. Individuals must be available to work May 30 - June 2 to be considered. Workers must have flexibility to work any shift assigned throughout the weekend. Shifts may vary in length (from four to eight hours). Snacks and drinks will be provided during scheduled work shifts. Attendance at Orientation on Wednesday, May 28, and is mandatory.
Note: If you do not show up for Orientation and/or your scheduled shift, you will not be eligible for future Reunion work.
Work shifts will be assigned to cover the following hours of operations (applicable to change):
Wednesday, May 28: Orientation
Thursday, May 29: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m.
Friday, May 30 : 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m.
Saturday, May 31: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m.
Sunday, June 1: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess outstanding verbal communication and customer service skills and have a commitment to delighting Reunion guests. Hospitality is a must!
- Must have excellent telephone skills to communicate with Reunion guests, shuttle drivers, and other staff members.
- Must be very comfortable with technology, specifically Windows OS. Must be able to quickly learn and utilize new software, specifically Motorola Push-To-Talk computer/phone app, to dispatch drivers to various locations for pick-ups.
- Must be willing to use a personal cell phone for this position during all shifts.
- Must deal courteously with other staff and Reunion guests in a quick-paced environment with changes, interruptions, and emergencies as they arise.
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds to move luggage for guests and assist guests boarding and exiting vehicles.
- Must make decisions regarding shuttle services when a supervisor is not available.
- Must be familiar with Notre Dames campus and surrounding areas, and be able to use navigation software to direct drivers to specific pick up locations.
- Must maintain a professional image and neat appearance in accordance with Reunion guidelines. (Reunion uniform staff shirts and name badges will be provided.)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
