Join us to supervise structured activities for children 4 to 12 years old, assist with welcoming Reunion guests and greeting guests at meals and events.This position will offer a wide range of customer assistance during Reunion Weekend.
Some of the activities include:
- Youth Program Assistant: Must be friendly, reliable, and willing to assist staff, and children ranging in ages 4 to 12. Must also be committed to supporting a safe and enjoyable experience for all children within our care. This position requires workers to be fully engaged, spend most of the shifts "on your feet," sometimes walk across campus and support all established protocols for safety and check in/check out processes.
- Registration: Serve as support at Reunion Headquarters located in the Eck Visitors Center. Welcome and check-in alumni guests, assemble and manage inventory of registration packets, distribute registration packets, provide general information to Reunion guests, and perform other duties as assigned. May also be assigned to the walk-up registration table.
- Greeters: Greet alumni and scan their name badges as they arrive at 1) Reunion headquarters, 2) lunches, dinners, and at the All-Class Refreshment Hub, and 3) at seminars and other Reunion events. Provide general information and campus directions to Reunion guests. Provide assistance to Ticket Sellers and the Transportation team when needed and/or during peak times.
This is a temporary position in support of the Notre Dame Alumni Association's largest yearly event, Reunion, to be held May 29 - June 1, 2025. Individuals must be available to work May 30 through June 1 to be considered. Workers must have flexibility to work any shift assigned throughout the weekend. Meals will be provided during scheduled work shifts. Attendance at Orientation is mandatory.
Note: If you do not show up for Orientation and/or your scheduled shift, you will not be eligible for future Reunion work.
Work shifts will be assigned to cover the following hours of operations:
Wednesday, May 28: Orientation
Thursday, May 29: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m.(Welcome Team Shift)
Friday, May 30: 8:00 a.m. -12:00 a.m. (Welcome Team Shift)
Saturday, May 31: 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. (Welcome Team Shift or Youth Program Assistant Shift)
Saturday, May 31: 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. (Welcome Team Shift or Youth Program Assistant Shift)
- It is possible for adults (18 years and older) to work a double shift that is, both a.m. and p.m. on the same day.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be friendly, courteous, and willing to assist alumni with general information.
- Must possess outstanding customer service skills and a commitment to welcoming all Reunion guests.
- As a premier customer service provider, the ideal candidate must be able to easily and clearly communicate with campus guests.
- Must be familiar with Notre Dames campus.
- Must be friendly, reliable, and willing to assist staff, and children ranging in ages 4 to 12.
- Must be committed to supporting a safe and enjoyable experience for all children within our care.
- The described position necessitates full engagement from workers, requiring them to be active and on their feet for the majority of their shifts. This may include walking across the campus at times and adhering to all established safety protocols and check-in/check-out procedures.
- Must maintain a professional image and neat appearance in accordance with Reunion guidelines. Reunion uniform staff shirts and name badges will be provided.
- Must have a flexible schedule during Reunion hours.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
