- Graduate Nurses can be awarded up to $10,000 with a 2-year work commitment
- Experienced Nurses (1 years of experience) can be awarded up to $12,500 with a 2-year work commitmentResponsibilities :
- Prioritizes patient problems through critical thinking, distinguishing significant from non-significant deviations from normal and urgent from non-urgent needs.
- Assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining individualized patient care plans.
- Administers medications and performs treatments / procedures following the five rights of medication administration and medical plan protocols.
- Initiates and manages peripheral IV administration and maintenance fluid administration within state regulations and hospital standards.
- Conducts patient and family education under RN supervision.
- Applies standards of care effectively to ensure efficient patient care delivery.
- Maintains competency in routine nursing procedures.
- Cultivates a positive work environment by fostering constructive communication and relationships.
- Engages in formal and informal staff development activities within and outside the nursing unit.
- Identifies opportunities to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce care costs.Qualifications :
- Completion of a Practical Nursing Program approved by the State Board of Nursing.
- Basic Arrhythmia Course upon hire or within 6 months required
- One year general medical / surgical (acute care) experience in an acute care setting preferredLicensure, Certifications, and Clearances :
- Successful completion of an approved pharmacology course prior to hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire or completed within one month of hire
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification
