What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gur Lab Post Doctoral Associate position at University of Pittsburgh?
A postdoctoral associate position exploring protein dynamics and interactions is available in Dr. Gur's laboratory in the Department of Computational and Systems Biology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. The position will involve the use of molecular modeling and simulation techniques to investigate the molecular details of protein function, dynamics, regulation, and the effects of mutations.
The Gur Lab is seeking a candidate who recently earned a Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, and Biotechnology, or a related field. Extensive experience with molecular dynamics simulations of proteins is required. The candidate will have the opportunity to receive training relevant to understanding the effects of genetic variants on protein structure, dynamics, and interactions. The salary is commensurate with experience and based on current NIH guidelines.
The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is highly ranked in NIH funding, and Pittsburgh has been consistently voted as one of the top livable cities in the US.
Interested candidates may apply at the University of Pittsburgh’s Talent Center by submitting a curriculum vitae and a one-page summary of your research interests together with the names and contact information of three references.
