Manages day-to-day laboratory operations while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices. Works with, adapts, and installs scientific equipment in research laboratories. Collaborates on routine projects and procedures. Manages inventory and equipment and performs budget functions.
Med-Otolaryngology
Required Education And Experience
Appropriate BSc in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Cell biology skills:
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred Skills
Molecular biology skills:
Research: Performing research related to the therapy-related substances delivery via extracellular vesicles and other methods to the inner ear, as well as conducting independent research involving hearing loss prevention/treatment. Working with pigs and small animals is required.
Mentorship: Performs project management and mentorship of graduate and undergraduate students.
Physical Effort
No heavy physical work. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and to stand and move about as necessary. Excellent vision and manual dexterity essential for performing job tasks.
