Central payroll position responsible for managing and processing all payrolls for the University. Run, review and audit payroll reports, identifying and correcting errors. Collaborate with Department Admins, HRSS, and IT across University to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues. Assist with process improvement, system testing and ad hoc analysis.

The Personnel & Payroll Specialist III position within the Department of Medicine will be responsible for managing and processing all payroll actions for the department. This position will run, review and audit the payroll registers, identifying and correcting any errors or issues. This position will collaborate with the FEAO team to troubleshoot and resolve any missing or inaccurate payroll actions. This position will also process Scholar and Visiting Scholar academic appointments for the Department of Medicine, along with processing any required visas for the candidates.
Essential Functions
Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.

- Process departmental FCCFs, ICPs, Annual Salary Increases, Faculty Step downs
- Pull and review monthly, bi-weekly, and UPP2 payroll registers for the Department of Medicine; Submit service requests and pull quick pays for review for accuracy; Ensure accuracy and compliance with policies, procedures and regulations, taking corrective action when necessary to resolve any payroll issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve all open items related to payroll processing/registers
- Serve as primary contact for all projects related to payroll processing and compliance for the Department of Medicine
- Process Scholar/Visitor Appointment and Reappointments for the Department of Medicine and visas when applicable
