Required qualifications:
- the ability to teach courses on modern Israel society and courses on gender, food, and body image, and the relationship of religion generally and Judaism specifically to these issues
- a PhD in anthropology, religious studies, or a cognate field
- scholarly work on modern Israel.
- previous teaching experience at a public research university in the areas listed above.
- expertise in the field of medical anthropology.
- experience with interdisciplinary teaching in fields such as Jewish Studies; Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies; and the Health Humanities.
