BASIC FUNCTION:
The Workday Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of Workday implementation and enhancement projects. This role serves as a critical leader and coordinator, ensuring that Workday modules, such as HCM, Financials and others, are deployed on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Workday systems, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
This role requires managing all aspects of assigned projects, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, communication, risk, procurement, and change management. The Workday Project Manager will assess and address each project’s unique requirements, ensuring they are met while effectively communicating objectives, expectations, and team responsibilities. A key focus is on defining and clarifying the needs of campus partners, which may involve in-depth analysis, to establish clear and achievable goals.

Manage all phases of Workday implementation and enhancement projects, including planning, scope, budget, resource allocation, and risk management.
Develop detailed project plans and timelines, ensuring objectives are met on time and within budget.
Act as the primary point of contact, coordinating with campus partners, Workday and consultant partners, and cross-functional teams to align configurations with business needs.
Communicate project goals, deliverables, and updates to campus partners while managing expectations and resolving issues.
Coordinate system configuration, testing, deployment, and data migration, ensuring seamless integration and efficiency.
Drive user adoption through change management strategies, training plans, and post-implementation support.
Identify risks, troubleshoot challenges, and implement process improvements to maximize system performance.
Maintain project documentation and generate reports to track progress and key performance metrics.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform other duties as required.
LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:
Personal computers, printer, word processing, database management and spreadsheet software.

5. Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, think creatively and be flexible.
6. Demonstrated strong financial estimating, planning, and budget management skills as well as the ability to communicate the plan to others.
7. Demonstrated effective communication skills, including facilitation, conflict management, change management, and negotiation.
8. Demonstrated experience using project management tools.
9. Demonstrated ability to develop and explain GANTT charts, and effectively conduct project estimation.
