$39.09 - $50.82The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE:Independently is responsible for service on imaging equipment, including, but not limited to: x-ray, ultrasound, and computed radiography equipment. Under minimal supervision is responsible for service on imaging equipment, including but not limited to: mammography, nuclear medicine and angio/cath. Under general supervision, is responsible for service on imaging equipment and radiation therapy systems, including but not limited to: CAT scanners, linear accelerators and MRI scanners. Instructs other technicians in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment. Assumes on-call responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs safety/preventive maintenance inspections and services clinical imaging equipment to determine operational status and compliance with manufacturers and industry technical standards and specifications.
- Performs calibrations and performance verifications on clinical imaging equipment.
- Troubleshoots, isolates equipment malfunctions and repairs clinical imaging equipment.
- Responds to operator complaints about clinical imaging equipment malfunctions.
- Performs equipment modifications when instructions, diagrams, prints, or schematics are provided for technical guidance.
- Maintains electronic medical equipment management database files for compliance with departmental and accreditation requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or GED and 2 years of directly related experience in a hospital or health care setting or equivalent training and experience in the military, biomedical and imaging areas required
- Associate's degree in Electronic or Instrumentation Technology with particular focus on Biomedical Engineering Technology preferred Or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Advanced networking and system integrations preferred Able to read schematics and mechanical diagrams preferred
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State with means of transportation to service offsite locations upon hire required
