The Graduate Admission Counselor is responsible for the recruitment of and outreach to new graduate and international prospective students. The Counselor will be responsible for cultivating and managing inquiries, helping prospective students through the admissions process and conducting student appointments in order to successfully meet targeted recruitment goals. The Graduate Admission Counselor will work closely with the Graduate & International Admissions team supporting office operations, policies and procedures.

The Graduate Admission Counselor will work closely with the Graduate & International Admissions team supporting office operations, policies and procedures.
Essential Duties
- Recruit new students at the graduate level for both domestic and international students, both on-campus and online as well as undergraduate international students
- Assist in coordination of outreach recruitment events/programs/activities to recruit and retain students through the yield phase of the admission process
- Have an in-depth knowledge of both the University and also topics pertinent to the international student
- Advise students regarding educational opportunities and options, admission and other requirements, policies and procedures, and financial assistance, as appropriate
- Maintain existing and new relationships with partners
- Research and attend college fairs and recruitment events reporting on travel productivity and expenses; Position may require evening and weekend work and travel
- Assist in developing and maintaining admissions materials including but not limited to print materials and web assets
- Utilizes effective communication skills with faculty, staff, and students; as well as off-campus constituents
- Attend professional development opportunities ensuring up-to-date best practices within the profession
- Act as a point of contact during off-hours, as needed; Work evening or weekend hours during seasonal peaks
- Outstanding organizational and planning skills
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency
- Excellent public speaking, communication and critical thinking skills
- Must be goal oriented and high energy
- Must be able to interact and work with students, faculty, and administrators
- Ability to use discretionary judgment
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) with students, faculty, and staff
- Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
- Must have the ability to travel
- Must have a valid driver’s license with no travel restrictions
- Must be willing and able to regularly engage in recruitment
- Available to work evenings/weekends
- Must be able to support the University’s commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture
- Must be able to respect, support and contribute to the University’s Catholic and Jesuit mission
- Bachelor’s degree is required

- Knowledge of a Jesuit Education
