SUMMARY
Assists qualified prospective students from inquiry through the first week of classes. Actively manages a database of prospective students, converting a budgeted percentage to enrolled students who persist to graduation. This position may be campus-based or remote, depending on the needs of the University
Qualifications
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
- Contact prospective students to obtain their approval to start the enrollment process
- Conduct in-person and online interviews to explore USV’s academic programs and admission requirements
- Assess potential students for ability to meet admission requirements and succeed through graduation
- Maintain full knowledge of USV’s programs, features, and benefits
- Assist students in selecting the program that best fits the student’s needs and aspirations
- Liaise with other departments to ensure a seamless student enrollment experience
- Include department directors and financial aid in the admissions interview, as appropriate
- Ensure USV’s policies and procedures are followed
- Maintain enrollment management records and complete all standard reports
- Protect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) per University policy
- Track and adjust daily activities to ensure goals are met
- Use the CRM to track conversion metrics, daily, and weekly activities
- Work with the Director of Admissions to continually improve outcomes
- Other duties and related projects, including presentations at workshops and events
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree, and/or a combination of equivalent education and experience
- Three or more years of experience in higher education admissions and/or sales
- Self-motivated
- Student-focused
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Track record of exceeding individual and team goals
- Effective computer, telephone, and text communication skills
- Ability to collect and analyze data information
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly accountable workplace
WORKING CONDITIONS
Campus-based work is conducted in a professional office environment with extensive people interaction. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
Remote work requires a signed Remote & Telecommuting Agreement, which includes employees providing a quiet, private workspace and dependent care, childcare, etc. (if applicable). Occasional evening and weekend work is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The employee is required to sit for long periods of time; use hands and reach with hands and arms for activities such as keyboarding.
