Advertised Job Summary
The Director of Admissions has a critical role in administering all facets of the admissions program for the School of Law. The Director will use data to direct resources of time, effort, and funding to plan, implement, and refine recruitment efforts of the Law Admissions Office. The Director has supervisory authority over admissions support staff and manages the customer relationship management (CRM) platform for the Admissions process. The Director collaborates with the Associate Director for Admissions Operations and the Vice Dean for Admissions and Career & Professional Development. The Director exerts leadership in the team effort to continuously evaluate the unit’s competitive position relative to other law schools and the applicant pool and recommend steps to meet enrollment goals established by the Dean.
Job Related Minimum Required Education And Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 5 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications

J.D. degree, or law or other graduate school admission experience preferred. Should be familiar with the environment of legal education, higher education, or the legal profession.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
A high level of interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills are required, including the ability to relate well to a diverse constituency and to maintain a collegial, service-oriented office environment. Comprehensive knowledge of the academic programs of the School of Law will be critical. Ability to work proficiently with spreadsheet, word processing, and database and CRM computer programs. Outstanding oral and written communication skills; must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under deadline pressure.

RECRUITMENT /RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT With the Vice Dean and in collaboration with the Admissions team, develop a comprehensive recruitment strategy to include in-person and virtual events, national recruitment fairs, direct outreach using digital marketing, admitted student events, and private events with targeted undergraduate schools. Design and supervise efforts for the strategic involvement of faculty, alumni, and students in personal recruitment of prospects, applicants, admitted candidates, and members of the entering class. Collaborate with admissions team to develop, install, manage, and evaluate communication plans for prospect, applicant, admitted candidate, alumni networker, and advisor audiences and other stakeholders, across multiple platforms and within prescribed budget parameters. Work with team to refine and direct the Law Ambassador and tour/visit programs. Represent the law school at recruitment events. Establish and maintain relationships with professional contacts and advisors.

Analyze data to adjust scholarship award process within an admission cycle in response to shifting market conditions, changes in scholarship budgets, changes in applicant activity, and yield from offers made. Communicate with scholarship recipients to enhance their likelihood of enrollment.
