Residence Life Coord (Stu Srvcs Prog Coord I), Minimum Salary: $37,735 per year, USC Aiken Housing
The Residential Life Coordinator—Pacer Commons is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive residence life program which enhances the growth and development of residential students while supporting the academic mission of the University. This person will serve as a live-in after-hours manager for an on-campus housing complex which houses approximately 312 students. The Residence Life Coordinator reports to the Director of University Housing and Residence Life, but is expected to exercise independent judgment in managing the day to day responsibilities of the position and area he/she oversees. Works harmoniously with others. Will receive supervision on a regular basis through formal one on one meetings, as well as informally, when occasion arises where supervision is necessary. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and 1 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience. Knowledgeable in residence life programming, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work with diverse constituents, knowledge of principles of student development, and strong student-centered philosophy. Provides leadership and supervises the student resident mentor (RM) program. Hires, trains, supports, supervises, and evaluates 8-12 resident mentors. Works closely with RMs in providing support and services to residents in communicating housing policies and procedures and in developing a supportive living/learning environment.
