Deadline Extended Transfer Enrollment Counselor (Student Services Program Coordinator II), Minimum Salary: $41,258 per year, USC Aiken Transfer Center
Recruit, enroll, and help retain transfer students to USC Aiken via extensive travel and utilization of USC Aiken Admissions’ CRM territory management system. Counsel prospective students/parents and build strong relationships with counselors at two-year and technical colleges. Participate in open house and all other recruitment functions of the Transfer Center and Admissions Office. Perform credit evaluations for prospective transfer students and process evaluations in all appropriate student technology systems. Work to advance the overall mission and goals of the Transfer Center. Contributes as part of a results driven team of enrollment management officers.
Requires a bachelor’s degree and 1 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience. Must have a valid driver’s license. Employee will work evenings and weekends extensively, as well as travel. Preferred qualifications include experience in admissions, enrollment, or other student-centered university functions; strong communication, problem solving, and customer service skills; strong public presentation skills, involvement/work with student organizations, management of volunteer-based organizations; and experience with higher education technology (CRM and/or student information). Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary. Knowledge of secondary and technical/community colleges is strongly recommended, along with understanding of college attendance trends and desire to continue professional development. Working knowledge of modern constituent relationship management software packages strongly recommended. Working knowledge of various Microsoft Office suite software (Word, Outlook, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), ability to work with a diverse group of individuals, and ability to balance priorities necessary.
