Position Description

Advertised Job Summary
The Office of Career Management at the Darla Moore School of Business invites applications for the Assistant Director of Employer Relations. This position will represent the Moore School of Business with new and established partners within an assigned industry group to provide placement and internship opportunities for Moore School of Business students. Will also oversee all employer activity for his/her designated industry clients on campus and ensure that employers are treated in an appropriate and relevant manner. This position will support the efforts of the Graduate and Undergraduate Career Education Teams and will be generating postings for the broader student population.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree and 4 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business, Education, International Studies or International Business preferred. Working knowledge of the graduate business marketplace is critical, with 3-5 years of experience working specifically within a recruiting or job placement function highly preferred. Experience in any of the following is desired: career service management, corporate career development, corporate recruiting, human resources or Talent Acquisition, marketing and/or sales. Language abilities preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Excellent written and oral communication skills, presentation skills, creativity, knowledge of US employment laws, and an ability to work as a member of a diverse team. Ability to travel extensively. Professional demeanor and tact, discretion, and good judgment in working with students, faculty and administrative units within the University. Knowledge of the graduate and undergraduate business marketplace in the United States and knowledge of US employment laws is critical, as is familiarity with economies, businesses, and recruiting practices in one or more major market areas outside the United States. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Focus on external outreach of the Moore School by establishing and maintaining relationships with firms in the assigned industry areas to meet the current needs of the job market for the student population. Outreach should produce postings for the broader undergraduate population, and specialized masters programs. Industry assignments will be assigned based on any potential areas of expertise.
