Assistant Director for Chapter Services
- Do you have experience creating and executing leadership development and risk management education for students?
- Do you enjoy building relationships with students, faculty and staff and collaborating across campus to create impactful programming, workshops, and training?
- Do you have experience serving as an advisor to fraternity and sorority life students?
- Have you supervised staff or worked closely with national headquarters staff?
The Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life is responsible for helping manage leadership development and risk management education for the fraternity and sorority community. They design programming for chapter and council leaders who manage the day- to-day experience for the over 9,000 members in the Greek community. This staff member will be part of the Fraternity and Sorority Life team and will create a rich and vibrant learning experience beyond the classroom for all members of the Greek community. This position involves serving on-call and responding to incidents in Greek Village as needed, serving on the crisis response team. This position will also support the University’s mission and goals through participating in recruitment and retention activities for prospective and current students.
Primary duties include:
- Serve as a primary advisor to a cohort of chapters through the chapter coaching model.
- Serve as the primary advisor for one or more governing council, oversee recruitment, orientation, new member education, and expansion efforts. Provide guidance and oversight to the council budget.
- Oversee implementation of leadership and harm reduction initiatives
- Supervise a coordinator role

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in student services or related field, May graduates will be considered if they will be able to obtain their degree by the date of employment. Membership in a Greek organization. Experience in areas of fraternity/sorority operations, or advisement and risk management. National organization headquarters staff experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to develop training curriculum.
