The Sponsored Awards Coordinator role will involve management and administrative support for department budget, council meetings, web page development and maintenance, technical and professional support to faculty in the pre-award development and submission of sponsored award applications.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 1 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree and 2 years related program experience or a bachelor’s degree and 4 years related experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, ability to work with a variety of individuals at the College, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Redcap, virtual meeting platforms, and Internet. Ability to plan, organize, and adhere to University and sponsor policies and procedures. Knowledgeable of research and human subjects laws, regulations, policies and procedures, and able to interpret and apply them accurately and effectively. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion related to highly confidential and sensitive sponsored award data; maintain effective working relationships; and use effective judgment and communication techniques.

Manages the Office of Research budget/accounts and is responsible for processing travel arrangements and documents for the Associate Dean and prepares payment requests, print requests, purchase orders/requisitions, supply orders, etc. for the Office of Research. Provides staff support to the Research and Scholarship Council and the Research and Scholarship Day Committee. Provides support for student posters. Provides staff support for Research Forum and Resilience in Research meetings. Manages pilot monies awarded by the Office of Research for collaborative studies. Demonstrates skill in setting priorities and managing sensitive issues, as well as the ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects.
