Position Details
The Dean's office in the Sykes College of Business at The University of Tampa has an opening for a full time Staff Assistant II. This position will provide administrative support for the College of Business (COB) and reports to the Dean.
Responsibilities
1. Assists in the development and monitoring of COB, Graduate Programs budgets, Centers and Institutes budgets of the COB including instructional and restricted accounts.
2. Places orders for supplies for COB as needed.
3. Prepares invoices, check requisitions, purchase requisitions, reports, memos, letters and other documents, using word processing spreadsheet, database and / or presentation software.
4. Processes stipends and other payments via Workday and through check requisitions.
5. Prepares and edits correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents as needed for the Dean.
6. Administers and processes all COB faculty / course evaluations for graduate / undergraduate courses and provides data analysis reports when needed.
7. Manages digital directory and plasma screen content.
8. Performs other duties as they arise as determined by Dean.
9. Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.
Qualifications
1. High school diploma required. Two years of college is preferred.
2. Minimum 2 years administrative experience.
3. Database management and data entry skills required.
4. Proficient in MS-Office, Desktop Publishing and Filemaker Pro.
5. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal and customer service skills required.
6. Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and manage time wisely.
7. Attention to detail and organizational skills needed.
8. Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office.
9. Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.

Pay Rate
20 per hour
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.
Summer - Monday through Thursday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 30 p.m.
Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
