Job Summary
Manage full recruiting lifecycle across a variety of open roles helping leaders find, hire, and retain quality talent. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will partner closely with managers and supervisors to research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract candidates who are qualified and have capable talent. Will provide expert guidance and training to departments/managers on screening, interviewing, PeopleAdmin software, employment offers, hiring practices, and policies while practicing UTA’s core values and mission to create an outstanding customer experience for all applicants and internal clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess, review and screen candidates for minimum and preferred qualifications using Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Conduct discovery(intake) meetings with hiring leaders to develop and execute the hiring plan.
- Post positions on internal and approved external websites, sources passive candidates online through various channels.
- Create and provide offer letters and transfers accepted offers to the Onboarding Navigator for further processing.
- Stay active on job boards, social networks, and platforms to find talent; plan, create, and release job postings and announcements.
- Support and assist with the creation and on-going maintenance of all Talent Acquisition SOPs including interview guides and templates.
- Attend job fairs and recruitment events on campus and within the local community.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum of three (3) years of recruiting experience or equivalent HR experience or equivalent work experience.
- Proven work experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, Recruiter, or similar role.
- Familiarity with social media, resume databases and professional networks.
- Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PeopleAdmin HCM, including the job data administration and position management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Sound judgment, tact, diplomacy, and discretion required in all matters.
- Advanced knowledge of business processes and systems.
- Ability to provide leadership and direction to others.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service.
- Ability to partner with other HR functions to make meaningful improvements.
- Ability to complete physical tasks as needed.
