| Job Summary | Dr. Katherine SF Damme is hiring a full-time Post-Doctoral Research Associate for her new lab in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences (BBS) at the University of Texas at Dallas. The lab's research focuses on leveraging neurodevelopment in childhood and adolescence to understand the risks of mental illness and how to promote healthy transitions to adulthood. Currently, we are running several projects with typically developing and clinical risk populations (e.g., psychosis, depression) focusing on hormones, neurodevelopment, biomarkers, and scale development. We use a wide variety of behavioral, modeling, and neuroimaging techniques. Join our team and be involved with writing up data from all of these great and innovative multimodal studies. The Post-Doc will provide technical, analytic, and administrative assistance supporting various research projects and will be responsible for the evaluation and interpretation of research data, for planning and executing the details of analyses according to research proposals. This position will provide experiences in publishing, grant writing, graduate/undergraduate mentorship, and more which will prepare a fellow for an Assistant Professor position. The anticipated start date for this position is March/April 2025. This is an ideal position for someone interested in building more skills before applying for an assistant professor position in the next few years. You will get in-depth experience in multidisciplinary research and intensive neuroimaging training, build data skills, publish papers, attend conferences, and make connections with a number of different psychopathology and neuroscience research groups. The salary for Post-Doctoral Research Associates in BBS is based on years of experience in accordance with the current NIH (NRSA) stipend levels. Compensation will be determined by the candidate's experience and qualifications. This position is initially funded for a minimum of one year, with the possibility of renewal. Continued employment is contingent upon the availability of funding. |
