Football Analyst I

Provide support to football coaching staff by identifying and analyzing data to assist the Football Program coaching staff and players.
Core Responsibilities
Football Analyst I
- Reviews opponent game tapes.
- Prepares breakdown of opponent tendencies.
- Assists coaching staff in pre-practice preparation.
- Assists coaches with formulating game plans, designing plays, and creating practice/game strategies.
- Assists/coordinates on-campus recruiting events and activities.
- Provides written communication with prospects.
- Communicates with high school coaches regarding recruiting.
- Supervises assigned staff and assist the head coach with managing work hours and assignments of staff.
- Serves as an off-field liaison to academics, training, operations, and equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Football Analyst II
- Responsible for identifying weaknesses in plays and suggest new strategies to coaching staff in practice.
- Responsible for overall game day preparation, statistical analysis and video analysis of opposing teams.
- Analyze opposing team strategy, chart tendencies and propose strategic plays.
- Analyze film data on current team and opponents and provide summary report and analysis to coaching staff and players.

Assist with the coordination of daily administrative support, statistical analyses and opponent preparation within the UTSA Football Program. This includes, but is not limited to the coordination of video cutups and distribution of preliminary offensive, defensive and special teams scouting reports.
Assist self-scouting offensive, defensive and special team's schemes. - Support the walk on program by researching prospective student athletes.
- Travel with coaching staff and team to provide statistical support.
- Assist with special projects as assigned by coaching staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Football Analyst I
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
- Valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Three (3) years of NCAA quality control, coaching and/or collegiate or professional football player experience.
Football Analyst II
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- One year of NFL, collegiate or high school football coaching experience, ~OR~ two years of experience as an NFL player ~OR~ one year of experience as a football analyst or graduate assistant/internship at an FBS.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Football Analyst I
- Demonstrated independent decision-making and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Football Analyst II
- Knowledge of and experience using social media channels. Skill in making updates to digital and social media channels.
- Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
