Job Summary
To provide support in coordinating and scheduling UTS Technology Compliance and Community Engagement department's projects, events and assisting with the supervision of the department's interns and ambassador program. Professional skill support in writing/editing, communications, project management, research, and marketing activities.
Responsible for coordinating and execution of a broad range of communications, project management and research support for departmental programs and activities, including writing and editing education/promotion materials, predominately supporting the UTS Bold Careers and Ambassadors and Interns program and the department's internal and external community engagement and compliance support.

Core Responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead teams in drafting proposals, writing and editing scholarly articles.
- Meeting and working with UTSA students on a daily basis.
- Coordinate research and development in material for community outreach.
- Coordinate UTS programs, services and opportunities for student involvement.
- Manage multiple projects in the UTS Technology Compliance and Community Engagement Service Portfolio.
- Leads development, designs and updates for department's community outreach promotional materials.
- Writes, edits, formats and assembles documents and publications for UTS Technology Compliance and Community Engagement Service Portfolio.
- Ensures materials are following university standards and requirements, including internship departmental requirements brochures, articles, newsletters and web materials.
- Assists with UTS Technology Compliance and Community Engagement Service Portfolio public, on and off campus events, and major UTS projects.
- Collects, compiles and edits data from program and student feedback to assess program effectiveness.
- Develops strategies for promoting UTS Technology Compliance and Community Engagement Service Portfolio programs and services for student involvement.
- Manages data entry and retrieval to established data files, verifying accuracy and completeness of data. Regularly audit updates and team reports.
- Coordinates creates, implementation, and maintains community outreach projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Education, Public Relations, Information Technology, or Business-related area.
- 2 years of experience working in higher education, technology and software, communications, project management, writing/editing, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in English, Communications, Education, Public Relations, Information Technology, or Business-related area.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Strong writing skills, including knowledge of technical grammar and mechanics.
- Experience with APA style writing.
- Experience and proficiency in editing manuscripts, newsletters, scholarly resources, and articles for publication.
- Experience coordinating and leading projects.
- Ability to adhere to project deadlines.
- Experience leading students and student projects.
- Ability and initiative to lead multiple teams working on different projects.
- Experience using software, including, but not limited to, Adobe software, Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in research support and community outreach.
