Salary Range

$38,000.00 depending on qualifications

Essential Functions


The Admissions Data Specialist is a key member of the admissions team, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of applications for domestic and international undergraduate students. This role involves managing applicant data, preparing files for review, and collaborating with offices across campus to support a seamless admissions process. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential for success. As the first point of contact for many applicants, this position plays a vital role in shaping their journey to the university, making it ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about helping students succeed.

1. Responsible for the download, printing and data entry of applications and transcripts for domestic and international students.
2. Responsible for maintaining the electronic application and ensuring timely and accurate information is maintained for undergraduate applicants to the University.
3. Collaborate with Graduate, Registrar’s Offices, Financial Aid, and Academic Advising in all aspects of data processing.
4. Supervise and assist in the posting of electronic test scores (i.e. SAT, ACT, CLEP, AP, IB score) and the posting of that credit, when needed.
5. Assist with the scanning of academic credentials; evaluate transcripts to prepare them for data entry; file documents and assist with the creation and completion of the academic files.
6. Prepare reports and analysis of data and activities as needed.
7. Possesses organizational and analytical abilities, solid communication skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
8. Has advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Specifically, Word, Excel and Outlook) to implement, develop, and maintain computer-based business operations. Self-motivated to stay current with emerging office technologies and recommend and implement improvements.
9. Process mail and assist with answering phone.
10. Assist and maintain Admissions email.
11. Employee may perform other related duties as assigned by their immediate supervisor.

Required Qualifications


1.High School degree with at least one year of college.
2.Two (2) years’ experience in university admissions or related field.

Preferred Qualifications


1.Bachelor’s degree
2.Bilingual (English & Spanish)

Conditions of Employment

4. Employees must be able and willing to travel and perform duties away from campus as necessary and must be able to operate a licensed motor vehicle, have access to a dependable motor vehicle, and possess a valid state driver’s license. Must have and maintain a satisfactory driver’s record.

Schedule

Generally, the normal work hours for the university are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 – 5:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm with a one-hour lunch. The individual holding this position may need to be available early morning, evening, and on weekends to meet the needs of the department. Hours worked may differ with some departments.


Standard Working Conditions

1. Able to lift various materials up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
2. Able to bend, crouch, and reach continuously.
3. Physically able remain seated, frequently to continuously.
4. Able to remain standing up to 15% of the time.
5. Possesses dexterity abilities required to perform job duties including extensive keyboard work, operating office equipment, performing filing, and other job-related responsibilities that include extensive wrist and hand movement.
6. Standard working conditions may differ depending on department and occupation
