The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley seeks a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive patient care services in a collaborative environment.
- Work under moderate supervision of a physician to provide advanced practice nursing care and treatment.
- Perform laboratory review and modify treatment plans as indicated by laboratory findings.
- Obtain and record complete medical histories, assess patient databases, and identify biopsychosocial needs.
- Develop and establish treatment plans, participate in interprofessional care, and follow up on client status.
- Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing or physician assistant program.
- Current licensure and certification as required by the state of Texas.
- Minimum one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, preferably in a primary care setting.
This role requires the ability to successfully perform all required duties in a busy ambulatory care clinic environment. You may be exposed to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions.
