JOB SUMMARY
In addition to the standard job duties of this position, we are in need of a Desktop Administrator with in-depth knowledge in operations and engineering functions of desktop operating systems and other technologies like Windows 10/11, Citrix, SCCM, MECM, GPOs, Active Directory, and Infrastructure/Enterprise Support. In this role, you will deploy, create and maintain client desktop images, configuration, software distribution, and patching, ensure that network and connectivity issues are clearly identified and fixed, ensure that desktops, mobile devices, and tablets are updated with latest patches, ensuring security and latest features to be available, responsible for providing Tier III support to internal customers by processing incidents and service requests that arrive at the technical help desk. Additionally, you will use ServiceNow to track, record, and maintain all Incidents and Change requests while maintaining internal and customer facing documentation in the Knowledge Base. This position also requires strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required

  • Education
    Associate's Degree in a technical field or equivalent

  • Experience
    3 years of relevant and progressive job-related experience with 2 years of experience in a support position or role in an information systems environment.
    Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • May be required to submit to a federal background investigation.


JOB DUTIES

  • Assists in analysis and remediation of problems involving: operating systems, database systems, applications, and other technologies as defined by an Enterprise Systems Administrator of higher grade.
  • Troubleshoots system components and recommends improvements in support of an efficient, highly available data center operation.
  • Assists with the design and implementation of data system components under the direction of Managers and other levels of Systems Administrators or engineers.
  • Assists in the development of test plans including recovery procedures.
  • Installs hardware and software in accordance with established guidelines including: Operating Systems, Database software and other application systems.
  • Support for Call Center (HEAT) incidents.
  • Develops methods for remediation of identified system security vulnerabilities based on existing procedures.
  • Assists with responses to security incidents to prevent additional loss and obtains and preserves forensic evidence.
  • Remains knowledgeable of changes in technology, industry practices, and state and federal regulatory requirements including FISMA, NIST FIPS, and other relevant publications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
