Position Summary : Student Library Assistant for School of Rehabilitation Sciences (SRS) responsibilities include providing basic circulation assistance and troubleshooting minor photocopier, printer, and scanner problems. The Student Library Assistant reports to Library Assistant III Circulation Manager.
This is a student position open to current UIW students.
Essential Functions :
- Using the library’s software to provide circulation assistance to patrons.
- Shelving, shifting books, shelf reading, aiding in the de-accessioning of library materials.
- Assist with opening and / or closing procedures for both the media center and the library.
- Refer individuals to the appropriate librarian when needed.
- Assist patrons with basic computer software and hardware questions.
- Maintain printers, and troubleshoot minor equipment problems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Required Education :
Required Work Experience : None.
Preferred Qualifications : Knowledge of Library operations / services, audiovisual equipment, and computer software.
Required Certifications, Licenses, or Registrations : None.
Work Hours : Monday through Friday, including nights and weekends.
