Position Description
| Primary Purpose and Essential Functions | The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of the Pacific invites applications for a 3-year (renewable and promotable), full-time 9-month Instructor position starting July 2025. Non-tenure-track faculty members collaborate in fulfilling the University's mission to provide a superior, student-centered learning experience integrating liberal arts and professional education and preparing individuals for lasting achievement and responsible leadership in their careers and communities. University of the Pacific is located in Stockton, California, named as the most racially and ethnically diverse big city in the United States in a 2020 US News & World Special Report. Non-tenure track faculty members engage primarily in teaching. Teaching responsibilities may include lecture and lab in the following subjects: non-majors Biology, non-majors Anatomy & Physiology, Human Anatomy (model based), Human Physiology, Histology, or other courses that fit the candidate's training. The teaching load will be 6 courses (including labs) over 2 semesters.
