POSITION SUMMARY
The Sr. HR Generalist provides daily guidance and leadership in the areas of Human Resources work, policy enforcement, benefits, recruitment, onboarding, engagement and administration relative to the hiring, support and retention of UTP’s Teams. Plans and administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity. Partners with senior leadership and operational team to guide regarding best practices and provide overall leadership regarding human resources policy and practice. Focus on Total Rewards and Benefits Administration of UTP Providers and Staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assists in the creation of an employee-oriented and patient-first organizational culture that emphasizes continuous improvement, teamwork, high performance safety and quality.
- Provides overall HR Operations by administering various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; participating in supporting department goals, objectives, and systems.
- Implementing personnel policies and procedures, preparing and maintaining employee profiles in the HRIS system and other appropriate systems. Performing benefit administration to include claims resolution, invoice approval, and annual re-evaluation of policies for cost effectiveness, information activities program, and cash flow
- Reporting/Annual – EE01, Nondiscrimination Testing, OSHA (Online and Posting), FSA and DDC, Cobra, FMLA, 403B and Pension Audits, ACA, Work with and assist CLA in audits.
- Leadership of the organizational leave and attendance policy; including FMLA administration
- Assist in preparation and organization for employment agreements, file needs, etc.
- Maintains department records and reports; recommending new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
- Leader in development of employee brand and culture; Champion of organizational values; Identifying, evaluating, and resolving human relations, employee morale, work performance, and organizational productivity concerns; coordinating action items with leadership.
- Recruiting and retention process for all appropriate departments; supports full cycle recruiting, hiring and onboarding process.
- Other duties as assigned in support of the HR Department’s success and overall organizational mission.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High school diploma or GED; college level HR course work or strong equivalent experience
Skills:
- Proficiency with MS Office; especially Excel
- Critical Thinker / ability to problem solve / fast paced / committed and reliable
- Ability to multitask in a demanding environment
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently independently as well as in a group setting
- Service-minded, team-oriented and exceptionally calm under pressure; skills deescalating stress
- Experience with regulatory compliance and reporting
Years of Experience: 2 years in Human Resources or applicable field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
Skills:
- Experience with HR software; HRIS and ATS systems – ADP knowledge a plus
- Experience with Total Rewards
- Proven project management, time management, and leadership skills.
Years of Experience:
- 4 years’ experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or Benefits Administration
- Experience in Healthcare
