Senior IT Analyst
Job Description
The Senior IT Analyst provides advanced business analysis, project coordination, and application support for our ERP / SIS and associated systems. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in both IT and student and / or financial processes within a university setting. This role requires a deep understanding of ERP / SIS systems, particularly those related to financial processes and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights and repeatable processes.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities) :
- Work with departments to analyze and document business processes related to the ERP / SIS and associated products and workflows.
- Identify technical specifications by working with users to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements.
- Create technical scoping requirements in support of software integration, new application deployments, and process improvements.
- Analyze and understand the business needs of the university's financial and student-centered departments. Have experience translating these needs into system requirements.
- Provide training and ongoing support to university staff on the effective use of the TU systems.
- Monitor system performance to ensure it aligns with the university's financial objectives.
- Work closely with both the Applications team members and IT project managers to ensure technical specifications and resources are properly identified and documented.
- Collaborate with application users, ERP team members, and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues, implement new features and functionality, and enhance processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline current processes, deploy product enhancements, and proactively locate and resolve system data integrity issues.
- Develop and maintain detailed written technical specifications for developed solutions.
- Ensure that all programming, data exchanges, integrations, etc. are secure and in compliance with best practices and University data security standards.
- Undertake other duties not specifically stated from time to time to best support the University of Tulsa faculty, staff, and students.

Special Job Dimensions :
Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm. Workdays and hours vary due to the nature of the University environment and the responsibilities of this position, with occasional evening and weekend work required. Available for after hours and events support as needed / rotation schedule.
