Job Summary
Front Desk/Clinic Support Associate – Pediatric General Surgery
We are seeking a full-time Front Desk/Clinic Support Associate for our Pediatric General Surgery clinic. This full-time position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance. This role requires no nights, weekends, or holidays. While the position is primarily based at our Lehi location, there will be occasional coverage at our Salt Lake City location to accommodate for sick/vacation time. The Pediatric General Surgery clinic is a high-energy, busy environment that treats a diverse group of patients.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and schedule clinic appointments
- Review clinic schedules, process faxes, and ensure proper distribution of orders to nurses and providers
- Take copayments and scan medical records into the patient’s chart
- Perform basic Medical Assistant duties as needed, such as taking vital signs, rooming patients, entering patient information into medical records, and assisting surgeons with patient care
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Support parents both in person and over the phone, triaging their concerns and assessing the urgency of care
- Provide exceptional patient care while remaining calm under pressure
- Assist with patient registration and reconcile daily cash reports
- Complete mandatory training in infection control and safety, in line with hospital and department policies
- Perform general clerical tasks, including filing, obtaining medical records from other providers, and entering charges for billing purposes
- Assist with patient and family education, providing educational materials and general health information
Required Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
- Experience or willingness to learn Medical Assistant skills
- Exceptional customer service skills for interacting with patients and families

Minimum Qualifications
- One year of office experience, customer
service experience, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).
- Current, valid Utah driver’s license at
time of hire may be required in some
areas.
