This is a full-time, 100% FTE salaried position. The scheduled shifts are primarily Monday-Friday, day shifts with some off shifts and weekends. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department. You will work on-site primarily at American Family Children's Hospital located in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our amazing team at American Family Children's Hospital as a Nursing Education Specialist (NES) or RN-Nursing Educator (NE) to :
- Facilitate and conduct the initial onboarding and continued professional development of nursing staff, with a focus in the pediatric operating room (OR) / intraoperative area and peds surgical pre / post and recovery areas.
- Curriculum and program development to support the multi-specialty intraoperative and pre / post / PACU patients at the American Family Children's Hospital and within the surgical services service line. This will include collaboration across departments.
- Assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive educational programs.
- Participate in the promotion and delivery of new house wide initiatives.
- Provide expertise and resources in the area of support; three years of surgical services including intra-operative nursing is highly preferred.
