We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our amazing team at American Family Children's Hospital as a Nursing Education Specialist (NES) or RN-Nursing Educator (NE) to:
- Facilitate and conduct the initial onboarding and continued professional development of nursing staff, with a focus in the pediatric operating room (OR) / intraoperative area and peds surgical pre/post and recovery areas.
- Curriculum and program development to support the multi-specialty intraoperative and pre/post/PACU patients at the American Family Children's Hospital and within the surgical services service line. This will include collaboration across departments.
- Assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive educational programs.
- Participate in the promotion and delivery of new house wide initiatives.
- Provide expertise and resources in the area of support; three years of surgical services including intra-operative nursing is preferred.

- RN-Nursing Educator: Bachelor of Science-Nursing degree (BSN) and Must obtain Master's degree in Nursing in relevant specialty within five (5) years of start date in this position. Required
- Nursing Education Specialist: Master's Degree in Nursing Required
- 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience Required
- 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience with position specific patient population Preferred
- 3 years of experience providing orientation and education for nursing staff in clinical setting Preferred
- Relevant experience in primary and specialty clinic settings for NES candidates working in ambulatory areas Preferred
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Required
- National certification in relevant specialty Preferred
