What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Neuroscience ICU position at University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation?
Work Schedule : 100% FTE, mainly day hours with rotating night and weekends (10-12 hour shifts).
Includes additional compensation for night and weekend hours.
Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.

At UW Health - an academic medical center and Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Program - you will treat the most complex trauma and stroke cases in the state. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) :
- Collaborate with faculty, residents, fellows, surgeons, and nursing staff to provide on-going patient care and management.
- Partner with a larger team including Neurosurgery, Neurocritical Care and Neurology to provide medical and perioperative care during critical illness.
- Perform routine clinical procedures independently as outlined in practice agreements / scope of practice.
- UW Health's Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Advisory Council ensures that your voices are heard.
This unique advisory council serves to promote, support, advocate and advise on APP practice and provide expertise and counsel on APP roles across the organization.
There are routine employee recognition and appreciation activities to participate in throughout the year.
These leaders advocate for advanced practice providers amongst UW Health administrators.
